Northern Saskatchewan 2015 - September

Snow geese migrating south from the Arctic, flying very high.

A bull moose scrape during the rutting season.

First heavy frost that melts later in the morning.

Heavy fog in the morning, cold air, warmer water.  I have seen fog so thick that it is necessary to hold off canoeing until the fog burns off.

A beaver lodge somewhat hidden behind a large boulder.  Notice in the upper picture the cache of fresh boughs in the water for a winter food supply.

A 36" pike.  (The multitool is nine inches long.)  She provided four meals.
